Overview
The DL160 Gen9 was HPE's budget compact rack line, and the generation is long end-of-sale — which converts it into exactly what a certain buyer wants: the cheapest credible rack server that still runs mainstream software without complaint. It never pretended to be premium, which is why the used market treats it kindly on price. Utility compute is a solved problem, and this is what the solution costs now. Refurbished units pass through Shenzhen with the usual evidence trail: power-up, configuration confirmation, physical inspection, photo record, serial log.
