Overview
With the DM5200F, the DM Series moves to mid-range all-flash: NVMe SSDs throughout, more drives per HA pair than the entry DM3200F, switch-attached expansion and a fast cluster network that lets up to four HA pairs act as one system. It is chosen for production databases, large VMware or Hyper-V estates and file services where latency is the complaint the storage team keeps hearing. Sold new: the order is placed in China once the build is agreed, and our Shenzhen team goes through the delivered array item by item against that build before noting the serials. 1-yr hardwaresys RTB + vendor’s own warranty. Say whether this starts as a standalone pair or joins an existing ONTAP cluster, because a cluster join needs the switches and the cluster interconnect settled in the same order.
