Overview
The RS3618xs is an xs-class RackStation — the heavier chassis Synology builds for server rooms where the NAS is infrastructure: central backup for a fleet of machines, or primary file service for a whole floor. A new-stock listing, purchased through China and audited out of Shenzhen. Nothing goes to the forwarder until it has been powered on and booted on our bench, configuration checked against the spec, completeness and visual inspection, photos, logs and serials recorded. Backing is 1-yr hardwaresys RTB. The xs tier is about sustained load rather than features, so the sensible spec conversation is drives, cache and network modules in that order — open with the workload and request a quote.
