The SR650a V4 is the accelerator-first arrangement of Lenovo's Xeon 6 platform: cards mounted at the front of the chassis where the cool air arrives, storage cut back to make room for them. It is the machine to look at for inference serving, for visualisation hosts, and for training work that does not need a dedicated multi-node system. Ordered new and configured before it is built.

The two rows to compare against the standard arrangement of this platform are the bay row and the slot row, and the trade between them is the entire design of this V4: front positions that would carry drives carry cards instead. If your workload needs local storage in quantity, that trade is the wrong way round and the other listing is the right one. Read the accelerator row as a power and width budget rather than as a list of approved models, because what fits is decided by the envelope. Processors and memory match the rest of the family, which means the host side will not be the bottleneck whatever the cards are asked to do.
