Overview
The RS422+ is Synology's entry rackmount — DSM in the shallow rack format, for the branch office or studio that finally bought a cabinet and wants the storage to live in it properly. It does what the desktop models do, in the shape facilities people prefer. It is bought alongside a switch and a UPS as the third piece of the grown-up closet. Shallow depth keeps it comfortable in the half-depth cabinets small sites actually own. Units are new in retail packaging, sourced through our documented Chinese channel and verified with serial logging at Shenzhen. It ships with our one-year hardwaresys Return-to-Base warranty. Rack rails and drive population belong in the same conversation, so mention both and request a quote.
