Overview
The RS822+ is Synology's short-depth workhorse for the small rack — the four-bay-class unit that fits shallow cabinets, wall-mount enclosures and the network closets that pretend to be server rooms. DSM makes it the easiest rackmount an office will ever administer. Where the closet is shallow and the workload forgiving, this is the sensible default. DSM keeps administration to minutes a month, which is all such sites ever budget. Sites standardising on it buy in pairs — one serving, one replicating. Units ship new in retail boxes through our documented Chinese procurement, checked and serial-registered at Shenzhen. The one-year hardwaresys Return-to-Base warranty is ours.
