Dell PowerEdge R250 — Full Technical Specifications
The R250 is a single-socket entry rack server from the Xeon E-2300 era: one processor, a handful of bays and a short chassis, sold to branches and small sites that need a real server rather than a share of one. It is the machine that usually replaces a tower when a site finally installs a cabinet.
New builds and refurbished units are both listed under this model.

Two rows carry the decision. Drives here are cabled rather than hot-plug, which means a failed disk is a scheduled visit and not a walk-past swap — for a branch with no on-site engineer that is worth pricing before the order. The supply row offers a fixed unit and a hot-swappable one at the same rating, and the second is the one that lets the machine be serviced without a stop; the difference in price is small and the difference in life is not. Memory uses the unbuffered modules of this class, which sets the ceiling and cannot be worked around. Management is the full enterprise stack, unchanged from the larger models.
