Dell PowerEdge T140 — Full Technical Specifications
The T140 is a small single-socket PowerEdge tower from the Xeon E-2200 era — the quiet box under a desk that turns out to be running the whole office. It was sold as a first server and as a replacement for ageing small-business hardware, and there is a lot of it about.
Both a new build and refurbished units are on offer.

Full Specifications
This tower is defined by what it does not have, and the table says so plainly if read in the right order. Drives are cabled, so a failure means downtime. The supply is a single fixed unit, so the same is true of power. Memory uses unbuffered modules and stops where that technology stops. Those three lines are the whole limit of the machine and none of them can be bought around. What remains is genuinely worth having: a full remote management processor, hardware controller options with cache, and error-correcting memory — the difference between this and a desktop with a large disk, which is what it is usually being compared against.
