Overview
The M820 was the heavyweight of Dell's classic blade era — a four-socket, full-height unit for the scale-up workloads that lived inside blade enclosures back when that was the fashion. The line is end-of-sale; the niche it served still exists, and a refurbished M820 is the only way left to serve it in that chassis. Nothing else that fits those slots carries this much memory capacity, which settles most arguments quickly. Blades are seated, booted and verified at Shenzhen, with inspection, photographs and serials completing the dossier. It ships with 1-yr hardwaresys RTB. If a legacy application still demands big memory inside the old enclosure, this is the honest fix — describe the slot situation and request a quote.
