Overview
The R960 is the four-socket scale-up machine of Dell's current rack generation, bought for the workloads that still refuse to scale sideways — a large database, an ERP system, a licence counted per socket. New means original components and a machine with no history at all. It is assembled after the order, to the configuration you specify. The completed system is powered on and booted on our bench, configuration checked against the spec, completeness and visual inspection, photos, logs and serials recorded before dispatch. Sourcing runs across Chinese suppliers and the quality audit takes place at our Shenzhen warehouse. Cover is 1-yr hardwaresys RTB, with a longer factory term belonging to the manufacturer and quoted as the vendor's — + vendor to 36 mo. A refurbished R960 is listed separately for standbys and second nodes; this card is for the system that the licence, the auditor and the application owner are all going to examine.
