Overview
The R240 is the entry rack server of its Dell generation — one socket, little expansion, bought to do one job at a branch or in a comms room. New is how most are specified, because the machine is inexpensive to configure correctly at the outset and awkward to inherit half-configured. We build it against your order rather than keeping any. The completed server is powered on and booted on our bench, configuration checked against the spec, completeness and visual inspection, photos, logs and serials recorded before it is packed. Components are purchased across China and audited in the Shenzhen warehouse we operate. The term is 1-yr hardwaresys RTB, and a longer factory cover is the vendor's and is attributed to the vendor — + vendor to 36 mo. A refurbished R240 is listed too and works well as a spare or a lab host; this card is for the branch that needs one dependable box and will not be revisited for years.
