Overview
The R250 is an entry rack server: one socket, modest expansion, bought for a defined job rather than as a platform. New is how almost everyone takes it, because a machine at this end of the range is cheap to specify correctly and expensive to inherit badly. Nothing here is on a shelf. We build to your configuration and the completed unit is powered on and booted on our bench, configuration checked against the spec, completeness and visual inspection, photos, logs and serials recorded. Parts are bought from suppliers across China and audited at the Shenzhen warehouse we run. Warranty is 1-yr hardwaresys RTB, and a longer term is the vendor's and is named as the vendor's — + vendor to 36 mo. A refurbished R250 is listed as well and is worth considering for a lab or a spare; for a branch that needs one reliable box, this card is the sensible one.
