Overview
The R630 is the dense rack machine of an older Dell generation, and it reaches this catalogue refurbished because that is the condition the market for it is in. Units are pulled from estates that have moved on, wiped, returned to a working baseline and re-tested before being listed. Each unit is powered on and booted on our bench, configuration checked against the spec, completeness and visual inspection, photos, logs and serials recorded, and the resulting file follows the serial rather than the model. Our buying runs through Chinese supply and the quality audit is done in Shenzhen, in our own warehouse and by our own people. The line on cover reads 1-yr hardwaresys RTB. Units are found against a specific order instead of stocked, which is why you see a lead time here. People come to this card to keep an ageing but working rack complete: another node, a hot spare, a bench copy of a production host. If the workload is new, a current generation will serve it better.
