Overview
Older Intel hardware with a lot of disk is what the CSE-829U X10DRU-i offers. It pairs Supermicro's Ultra rack chassis, here with a large-form-factor drive front, and the X10DRU-i board for two Xeon E5-2600 v3 or v4 processors. The platform is several generations old, yet a deep bank of large disks keeps it useful: backup targets, Ceph or MinIO nodes, archive tiers and test labs are where it still works hard. This one is refurbished, assembled from the chassis and board named in the title. Before we offer it the unit has been powered on and booted on our bench, configuration checked against the spec, completeness and visual inspection, photos, logs and serials recorded. Warranty is 1-yr hardwaresys RTB + up to 3 yr on request. Storage is cabled to the onboard SATA unless an add-on card is fitted, so decide between a plain HBA for software-defined storage and a hardware RAID controller, then request a quote.
