Overview
The R730xd pairs an older Dell rack generation with a storage-dense chassis, and refurbished is the only route to it that makes sense today. Machines arrive out of estates that have moved on, get wiped, restored to a working baseline and re-tested before they are listed. Each is powered on and booted on our bench, configuration checked against the spec, completeness and visual inspection, photos, logs and serials recorded, with the drive health data taken at the same time. Buying runs through Chinese supply; the audit is ours and happens in the Shenzhen warehouse rather than at a supplier's premises. Warranty is 1-yr hardwaresys RTB. Every unit is found against a specific order, so what the page can honestly show is a lead time. People buy this one for bulk storage that does not need to be fast, for backup landing zones, and for keeping an existing cluster of the same generation fed with matching nodes.
