Overview
A refurbished T440 tower has already worked somewhere — often a small office that has since moved to hosted services — and returns to be wiped, restored to a working baseline and re-tested. Towers age gently compared with rack hardware, which is most of why a used one is worth listing. Each is powered on and booted on our bench, configuration checked against the spec, completeness and visual inspection, photos, logs and serials recorded, and drive health data is recorded before it ships. We buy through supply in China and audit in Shenzhen ourselves, so the paperwork that arrives with the tower is the paperwork we produced. Warranty is 1-yr hardwaresys RTB and we carry it. Sourcing happens after the order, so the page offers a lead time instead of a quantity. This card is for a spare that must match an installed machine, or a second tower for a site whose first one is now full. When the tower is the only server a site will have, the new T440 listing is the safer pick.
