Overview
The R650 is the dense rack machine of Dell's previous mainstream generation, and new units still sell because estates standardise for years at a time, not for one procurement cycle. It comes assembled from original components with nothing behind it. Each build is made after the order. Your bill of materials goes to the suppliers we buy through and the machine that comes back is powered on and booted on our bench, configuration checked against the spec, completeness and visual inspection, photos, logs and serials recorded. Sourcing is spread across China and the audit is run at our Shenzhen warehouse. Cover is 1-yr hardwaresys RTB, with any longer term identified as the vendor's own — + vendor to 36 mo. A refurbished R650 is listed next to this one and is usually what a lab or a spares shelf wants; this card is for the row being deployed now, where the asset has to be first-hand.
