Dell PowerEdge R650 — Full Technical Specifications
The R650 is the dense flagship of Dell's fifteenth generation — a two-socket Ice Lake machine in a thin chassis, bought where the plan is to fill a cabinet with identical nodes rather than to build one large server. Hypervisor clusters, container platforms and telco edge estates are where most of them ended up.
It is available as a new build and as a refurbished unit, and the used pool is growing as the generation reaches its first refresh.

Full Specifications
The memory line on this model is unusually generous for the height, and that is the point of it: read that row and the socket row together, because the reason to choose this over the cheaper build below it is the full complement of memory channels. Bays are few, as they must be in a chassis this thin, so storage is normally a question of what the network offers rather than what the front panel does. The OCP seat is the important networking line — filling it leaves the expansion slots free, and in this model the expansion slots are what everything else has to share.
