Overview
The R660 is the dense half of Dell's current rack pairing, and new is how most of them are bought — the generation is recent enough that a used market has hardly formed. It comes with original components and no operating history at all. Each order triggers a build rather than a shipment from stock. Your configuration goes to the suppliers we work with, and the machine that comes back is powered on and booted on our bench, configuration checked against the spec, completeness and visual inspection, photos, logs and serials recorded. Sourcing runs across China and the audit is ours, done in Shenzhen. Warranty is 1-yr hardwaresys RTB, and any longer entitlement is the vendor's and is quoted with the vendor named — + vendor to 36 mo. A refurbished R660 is listed on its own card, which is worth a look when the deployment is a lab or a spare; for a production row being built out now, this is the card that fits.
