Overview
The DS423 is the value four-bay in Synology's tower line-up: enough spindles for real redundancy, in a desktop-quiet case a growing team can keep in the corner of the office rather than in a machine room. Supplied new through our China purchasing, with the Shenzhen warehouse doing the outbound audit. Each chassis is powered on and booted on our bench, configuration checked against the spec, completeness and visual inspection, photos, logs and serials recorded. Warranty is 1-yr hardwaresys RTB from us. Four bays is the point where drive choice starts to matter more than the enclosure — mixed capacities, one big volume, or a hot spare — so tell us how the storage should be laid out and the quote will follow.
