Overview
The DS1825+ is the eight-bay big brother on Synology's desktop plus shelf: a tower for the studio or department whose data outgrew the five-bay units without anyone ever approving a rack. It keeps desktop manners — noise, footprint, power draw — at department scale. New units only, over the China purchasing route with the Shenzhen audit at the door. The pre-flight is the usual — powered on and booted on our bench, configuration checked against the spec, completeness and visual inspection, photos, logs and serials recorded. Cover is 1-yr hardwaresys RTB. At this bay count the drive bill dwarfs the enclosure, and staging the fill beats buying it all at once — tell us the year-one capacity and the eventual ceiling, and request a quote.
