Overview
A refurbished R840 comes out of an estate whose scale-up workload has moved on. Each is wiped, restored to a working baseline and re-tested — on a four-socket machine that check takes longer simply because there is more of it, which is the point of doing it properly. Every system is powered on and booted on our bench, configuration checked against the spec, completeness and visual inspection, photos, logs and serials recorded, with the drives assessed at the same time. We buy through Chinese supply and the quality audit happens at our own Shenzhen warehouse rather than at a supplier's premises. Warranty is 1-yr hardwaresys RTB, funded here. Units are sourced against your order, so the page gives a lead time. Used scale-up hardware earns its place by keeping an existing licensing arrangement alive and by providing a standby that matches the production machine exactly; the new R840 listing covers first-hand requirements.
