Overview
The ME5084 is the high-density end of Dell's entry array family: a dense-shelf machine for backup vaults, surveillance retention and archive tiers, where the requirement is measured in shelves of spinning capacity and the budget in cost per terabyte held. It sells new for the same reason the rest of the family does — controllers with clean histories — but the density adds a second one: a shelf this heavy is a freight project, and we manage it as one, palletised out of the Shenzhen warehouse after audit. Cover is 1-yr hardwaresys RTB, vendor support quoted in the vendor's own name. Fill strategy matters more here than anywhere in the range: tell us the retention maths and whether the fill arrives in waves, and request a quote.
