Overview
The ME5224 is the small-form-factor, high-spindle-count member of the same entry array family — many drives in one enclosure, for workloads that want throughput rather than raw depth. Arrays are listed new here, because a controller pair with an unaccounted-for history is not something to put under production data. Each unit is sourced after the order, to the configuration you specify. It is powered on and booted on our bench, configuration checked against the spec, completeness and visual inspection, photos, logs and serials recorded before it is released to ship. Buying runs through Chinese supply and the audit is carried out at our Shenzhen warehouse. Cover from us is 1-yr hardwaresys RTB, and the manufacturer's own entitlement is separate and described as the vendor's — + vendor to 36 mo.
