Overview
The ME5284 is the dense build of Dell's entry SAN family — maximum drive count in the frame, minimum ceremony in the management. It gets bought where capacity per dollar decides: surveillance retention, backup landing zones, bulk block storage behind a small cluster. The management assumes a generalist, not a storage team, and that assumption is the product. Arrays are supplied new and configured to order, with the buying trail documented across the Chinese channel and intake QC plus serial logging at Shenzhen. We back the hardware with the one-year hardwaresys Return-to-Base warranty; Dell array support attaches in the vendor's name where wanted. Freight on a chassis this heavy is part of the quote, so include the delivery address when you request a quote.
