Overview
The ME5212 is the entry Dell SAN for a virtualisation pair or a small cluster taking its first step off internal drives: shared block storage with dual controllers, minus the management overhead of the bigger arrays. Arrays ship new. Controllers hold the volume map, and a controller with an undocumented past is a data-loss story waiting for its date — the same reasoning that keeps our whole entry-array shelf factory-fresh. China-sourced, Shenzhen-audited. Prior to freight the array is powered on and booted on our bench, configuration checked against the spec, completeness and visual inspection, photos, logs and serials recorded.
